Pre-iGEM was developed to allow high schools the chance to work with synthetic biology, this is like the labs category in the collegiate level. If you register as a pre-iGEM your team will not compete in the jamboree. As a pre-iGEM team will receive the parts, this will allow your team the ability to experience synthetic biology and gain confidence. If you decided that your team can compete, you will have to register as an iGEM HS team by the January deadline.
