Opportunities for High School iGEMers

When a high school students participates in iGEM, they have many opportunities. Here are some of the opportunities:
Participation in the Regional Poster Session
Since the high school jamboree happens before the collegiate, high school teams will be given the opportunity to show their poster during the poster session of the jamboree.
Volunteering at the Regional
High school teams will be able to volunteer at the regional. Students can film, take pictures, help judges, help teams, or other duties. Students will meet individuals that work in Synthetic Biology and see the posters and presentations of the college teams.
Participate at the College Level
When the high school students goes to college, they could participate in the college iGEM team. The high school student will have some experience with Synthetic Biology and iGEM. What an asset for the college teams to have an individual that is already excited and motivated.
